  • How can I find a car for sale?

    To view all cars for sale just go to the Browse page. To view a smaller subset of cars go to the Search page and use one of the quick links, or use the search bar that you see on the left.

    To look for what your local dealers have to offer, go to the Dealers page.

  • How can I find a car for sale near me?

    On the Search page you will see a number of quick links to find cars in various towns. Choose your town from the list, or select your town in the drop-down list labelled Location: on the search bar. When you press Go, only cars for sale in your chosen town will be shown.

    To find a dealer near you, take a look at the Dealers page.

  • Why did my search not find any cars?

    It may be that you have specified such a narrow range of criteria that there are no cars that match: try a search with wider or less criteria. If you look at the Browse page, you will see all the cars for sale.
  • My search found too many cars, how can I limit it?

    Use the form in the left bar to narrow your search. For example, change the location or price range.
  • How can I see more information about a car?

    When you see a car on the Home, Search or Browse page, click on the picture or title to see the full advert with more detail about the car and the seller. When you are viewing the full advert you can click on any picture to see a larger version of that picture.
  • I'm interested in a car on this site, how can I contact the seller?

    The full advert for any car will give you details about the seller which may include their phone number. Each advert also contains an enquiry form which you can use to contact the seller. You will always be able to use the Send enquiry link shown on the advert to send email to the seller.

  • How do I place an advert on this site?

    Go to the Advertise page. If you have not already logged in, you will have to do this first: the Advertise page will enable you to log in or register. Once you are logged in, just fill in the fields, Preview your advert and, when you are happy with it, Submit it for publication.
  • How much does an advert cost?

    On countrycars.com.au we now offer the Gold and Silver Packages. Listing are run until sold, however every 4 months you will be required to extend you listing at no cost to update us as to whether or not it is still for sale. After 4 months if you have not extended you listing for free it will drop off the site. See the Advertising Rates page for more details.
  • What information do I need to tell you?

    To register you will need to tell us your name, email address and choose a password. Optionally you can tell us your address and phone numbers. Only your name, phone numbers and town will be displayed on any advert we publish for you. If you don't want your phone numbers shown on your adverts, go to the Account page and use the Modify Details option - uncheck the Show my contact details box.

    When you create an advert, the only information we require is the make and price of your car although we recommend that you supply as much other information for your advert as well as adding one or more pictures if you can.
  • Is my information safe?

    Yes, any information you give us is held securely and not passed on to any third party unless we are required to do so by law. We will irretrievably delete any personal information you give us if you request that we do so. You can read our full Privacy Policy for clarity.
  • How do I add pictures to my advert?

    When you create an advert and specify the car details, you may be able to add one or more pictures. The pictures must be already held on your computer. When you Preview your advert, you will see how it looks and you will be able to change or remove the pictures prior to submitting your advert. If you do not see an option to add a picture whilst creating your advert, you will be able to add/change one or more pictures after the advert is submitted.   • Uploading a picture sometimes times out, why is this?

    If your picture file is very large or you are using a slow connection, sometimes the upload will take so long that it times out. If this happens, try reducing the resolution or size of your picture so that the file is not so large.
  • When will my advert appear on the site?

    Once we receive your advert, we will check your advert and schedule it's publication as soon as possible, usually within a few hours. If we receive an advert during the night we will try to process this and publish your advert before 10am.
  • How can I change my advert?

    You can change anything in your advert by going to the My Adverts page and selecting the advert you wish to change. Your changes will become effective immediately. Please ensure any changes you make are correct as Countrycars.com.au accept no responsiblity for incorrect information.
  • My car has been sold, what should I do now?

    Visit the My Adverts page to mark the advert as sold, so it shows SOLD rather than the price, and then use the Contact Us page to let us know.
  • My sale fell through and I need to re-advertise. How can I do this?

    If your advert is no longer visible because it expired or you ended it, you can visit the My Adverts page, choose the advert you want to re-advertise and just click the Re-advertise link.  If your advert is still running, you can mark it as not sold, so it shows the price again.
  • How can I make sure my advert starts on a particular day?

    When you create your advert you can choose when you want it to start. Either choose as soon as possible or one of the given days listed. Your advert will be published on the date you choose provided we have received any payment due.
